Welcome…

Flames Netball is a vibrant junior netball club based in Church Stretton in South Shropshire. We are well established within the area and train at Church Stretton Leisure Centre on Friday evenings. We enjoy playing in the Shropshire CVL Junior Netball League on Sunday mornings; matches take place at The Telford Langley School in Telford.

Through regular training sessions and matches, our aim is to create a club that promotes enjoyment, friendships, skills development, team and individual achievement and above all, a respect for fellow players, coaches and umpires in a sporting environment.

Flames Netball works closely with the Shropshire County Netball Association to provide a route for talented players to move through the England Netball Performance Pathway and achieve personal success.

For 2023/24, we have entered four teams in four age groups into the Junior League:

  • U11 – Bright Sparks
  • U12 – Crackling Flames
  • U14 – Sparkling Flames
  • U16 – Burning Flames

The local interest in netball since England’s Commonwealth Games Gold Medal success in 2018 has been huge and we have nearly 50 members. We manage our numbers carefully to ensure we provide plenty of court time both at training and in match play. If you have a child in school years 5 – 11 who is interested in trying netball out, please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate them.
