Sponsorship from LandScope Engineering
At the most recent committee meeting it was agreed that the fees for next season would have to be raised to mitigate for rising costs to run the club. LandScope Engineering have however kindly donated £400 towards sponsorship of Flames to enable the club to keep the fees the same in September.
LandScope has a strong sustainability policy and recognises the importance of local grassroots sports to communities. They hope this donation will go some way to shelter children from the effects of the cost-of-living crisis that may be affecting families this coming year. A huge thank you to Martin Berry and the team at Picklescott – it is very much appreciated!

Player Questionnaire
Given the growth of the club there are a number of options for how we can structure training and match playing opportunities for everyone, and therefore the composition of the teams we can put forward to play in the Shropshire Junior Netball League next season. We want the club to reflect the choices of the players and would therefore be grateful if every player could complete the Season 2022/23 questionnaire.
If each player could complete this survey by Sunday 31st July that would be great. Children in the same family may need to use two different devices as Google Forms will recognise the IP address from where the form is submitted and discount duplicates.
Newsletter July 2022
The most recent newsletter with information about a questionnaire, term dates next season, fees and donations to the club, and more can be found here.
The Flames Questionnaire needs to be submitted by each child from a different device to avoid IP address conflicts. All players responses before Sunday 31st July please.

Wonderful Presentation Evening
What a lovely evening to mark the end of a successful (if not rollercoaster!) 2021/22 season. It was a pleasure to hear what the children had written for each other’s certificates to celebrate each other’s strengths, and also to hear from the coaches marking individual achievements during the year.
The evening was made all the more special by the wonderful England and Wasps U19s player Niamh Kilgallen joining us to present the certificates, let us know a little more about her life in netball, and answer a myriad of questions from the audience. What a charming and inspiring young lady, for whom we will I’m sure watch her netball career flourish with interest.
Thanks so much to all who pitched in to bring the evening to fruition, and of course to the always supportive families who joined us to help honour our remarkable girls. For those who were unable to make it, here’s a few photos (hopefully more to come), and fingers crossed we will see you next year!

Donation to Charities
Thanks very much to all those who made the delicious cakes and donated other refreshments last night at the presentation evening. We raised £80 – well done all!
The monies have been equally divided between The Netball Development Trust and The Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal , both charities doing wonderful and necessary work to help others less fortunate than ourselves.

End of Season Presentation Evening
All players, family and friends are warmly invited to attend our end of season presentation evening where we will be celebrating another fantastic year of Flames netball. Friday 24th June from 6.15pm.
The evening will feature a recap of the last year, some awards and a talk and Q&A session from our special guest, England and Wasps U19s player Niamh Kilgallen!

Tea, coffee, and squash will be provided but we are asking for donations of cake please. Refreshments will be free of charge, but we will be collecting for the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal and the Netball Trust, who help bring netball to disadvantaged countries. We look forward to seeing you all there!
Grant Awarded to Support Players
The Reverend Henry Fletcher’s, Munslow’s and Poor’s Land Charity have awarded Flames a £90 grant to support players eligible for Pupil Premium payments to subsidised fees next season. We are so grateful for their consideration.
